9 Easy Workouts You Can Do At Home During The Quarantine Period.

The way things are going with Covid-19, it might not be until May or even later before we can really stretch our legs. In the past we struggled with finding the energy or drive to get ourselves up and to the gym, now we are scratching the back of our doors like caged animals in the hopes of getting out one day. So in the name of compassion here are 9 easy workouts you can do at home or in your backyard (if you have one) to help ease those animal like desires.

  1. Jump Rope - This one is pretty self explanatory…great cardio

  2. Stair Stepping - Even if you don’t have stairs, you can grab a chair and step on and off for a good burn

  3. The Plank - A great exercise for strengthening your core muscles

  4. Dancing - Why not have a dance party in your kitchen or living room to burn some calories

  5. Lunges - Walk your way down the hall and back to feel the burn

  6. Cleaning - Believe it or not cleaning can be great exercise, especially for your upper body. Vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing back to back to back can produce a great upper body workout feeling.

  7. Water Bottles - Use water bottles as weights, if that gets to easy then switch to larger bottles like milk or vinegar jugs and fill up as needed

  8. High Knees - A good replacement for jogging. Try standing in one spot and raising each knee as high as you can, alternately back and forth getting faster as you progress and feel more comfortable…Whew!!!

  9. Jumping Jacks - Another great cardio workout

This day in age you can find anything on the net. So if you are unsure about any of the exercises above then feel free to search youtube and a plethora of videos will be there to show you how. I am no kinesiologist, so please seek the advice from your doctor or health professional.
